Come experience a traditional Christmas service in a church filled by candle light. Enjoy the music and carols of the season and hear some of the sacred stories. Participate in a question and answer period and discussion with one of the church’s ministers and learn about this high Christian holiday.
At Multi-faith Chaplaincy, we offer a program called, “Sacred Site Visits,” where each term, we go to various sacred sites places in Montreal, such as a mosque, synagogue or temple. We experience one of their events/services and afterwards meet with one of the leaders of the faith community for a question and answer session and discussion. The purpose is to give primarily students (though others are welcome if there is space) an opportunity to learn about a world faith and a holy day in an experiential way.
This term, “Carols by Candlelight” is one of our sacred site visits, which means that we go as a group, sit together and then meet with one of the ministers after the service for a question and answer period after. If you are interested in participating in the Sacred Site Visit, registration is required.
“Carols by Candlelight” is an annual event hosted by the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul, a Presbyterian church very close to the SGW campus. It is open to the public and anyone is welcome.
