Abstract
I will talk about how Smartphone apps can be used to collect data critical for urban transportation planning, and particularly about the application, DataMobile. I will also talk about the development of data inference methods and the long-term goal of completely passive inference. I will talk about studies at Concordia, a Canadian 5-city study, a study in Accra, Ghana, and a study in Montreal.
Biography
Zachary Patterson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment at Concordia University. He is also a Tier II Canada Research Chair in Transportation and Land Use Linkages for Regional Sustainability.
