Good news: the renovations to the Guy-Concordia metro station are almost finished!

The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) expects to have removed all the temporary walls by December 20, a welcome return to normal for many commuters.

A few final adjustments will be made after the holidays, but these will mainly happen at night, and the work should be completed by the end of January. What’s more, the new Concordia sign above the stairs at the Guy-Street entrance should be installed by the end of February.

This third phase of the project included:

  • Repairing staircases
  • Repairing the lighting system
  • Replacing wall and floor finishes

With more than 8 million passengers having travelled through the station in 2013, Guy-Concordia ranks third among the STM’s busiest metro stations.
