Faculty Resources

Dear Professors,

As faculty members you play an import role is emergency preparedness. In fact, the confidence students have in you can help us ensure that everyone is kept safe during an emergency. Please remember that you are responsible for ensuring the evacuation and/or shelter in place of your class and students during an emergency situation. You must also ensure that a student who may be mobility impaired is escorted to an emergency exit and that security is made aware of their location during a building evacuation.

We have produced a short video (6 minutes) that explains basic emergency procedures. We ask that you show this video on your first or second class of each semester, to provide your students with basic emergency procedures information. Listed below, are several tool that have been developed to assist you with this important role. Should you have any questions, comments or concerns, please contact the Senior Advisor on Emergency Management at extension 5638 or by e-mail at darren.dumoulin@concordia.ca.
