Concordia International is pleased to share the following announcement with the entire Concordia community.

The Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute ("Shastri Institute”)’s offices in Canada and India have just announced a new and separate series of funding programs that support a wide-range of activities aimed at educational collaboration between Canada and India (see below). Concordia University has been a proud member of Shastri Institute for many years; therefore all members of our University (students, professors, researchers and administrators) are eligible to apply for any of the suitable programs listed under each country’s announcements. Shastri Institute's programs now support all disciplines of work conducted by our member institutions, which may range from humanities and social sciences to science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) as well as business, management, and all other disciplines.

Please note that some programs from each country have overlapping mandates. Therefore, applicants are allowed to apply both for India and Canada program separately for the same project. However, if successful, the applicant will have to choose only one grant from any country’s programs: no duplication of funding will be allowed.

Shastri Institute currently has 111 member institutions in two countries and Concordia encourages all the members of our University to exploit these opportunities to increase collaboration with India. Should you need assistance for preparing applications or have specific questions about the program, please call or write to the Program officers in the Calgary or Delhi offices of Shastri Institute, as listed under each program.
