Former IDLG member Emilee Gilpin is “interning with the Tyee, as part of the Journalist for Human Rights Emerging Indigenous Intern program … Emilee recently completed a graduate diploma in Journalism at Concordia University”, and “is specifically interested in disrupting the ways stories about First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples are told in the media and is working on a series that showcases urbanized Indigenous women at the front-lines of their own unique battles”
