Dominic Law appointed senior director of Advancement Services

Leader to serve Concordia’s Advancement and Alumni Relations sector

Dominic Law has been appointed senior director of Advancement Services at Advancement and Alumni Relations. He begins at Concordia on March 18.

Law comes to the university with over 25 years of leadership experience in the advancement sector. Since 2005, he has served as principal consultant at Ellucian, a market leader in higher education technology.

At Ellucian, Law oversaw internal and external teams that introduced new fundraising software for clients. He provided strategic counsel to clients that included the London School of Economics, Princeton University and the Université de Montréal.

A graduate in accounting from McGill’s Desautels Faculty of Management, Law served his alma mater. He worked in all aspects of Advancement Services in Development and Alumni Relations Office.

Prior to leaving McGill, he served as director of Development and Alumni Relations Services for five years. In this capacity, he oversaw donation processing, records management, system development, support and user training.

At McGill, Law was responsible for financial planning and budget management. He worked with fellow leaders on developing new initiatives and he managed the university’s international fundraising foundations.
