Records Classification and Retention Plan

Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ) has approved 16 new retention rules for the University. This new update contains rules regarding employees’ file; permanent staff, full-time and part-time faculties, teaching and research assistants. We also have rules related to recreation and athletics; management of recreation programs and their activities, varsity sport management and players’ file and contracts, plus we have rules related to the financial sector; insurance claims, tender for proposal, student accounts, investment, loans and guaranties and risk management and finally a rule for libraries’ inventories.

We invite you to look at the Records Classification and Retention Plan (RCRP), which is the official guide for filing records that includes all the retention rules approved to this day. If you need more information, do not hesitate to contact Records Officers Rachel Marion and Nathalie Parant.

You may also find that the Procedures and Guidelines are useful to you. If you need more information regarding these procedures, you can register to our Training Sessions or contact Eric Côté, Records Management Assistant.
