COVID-19 FAQs for students

March 12, 2020
|

Dear Concordia students,

Our COVID-19 page now includes information in response to questions we are receiving from students. We understand this is a stressful and challenging time for many, with a lot of information emerging rapidly around COVID-19.

The university has been actively preparing alternative scenarios in case we need to modify the delivery of courses and exams as well as travel and events on campus.

As we develop these scenarios in response to new information, we will continue to update the COVID-19 FAQs and work with all members of our community to respond to questions and concerns. In addition, we have also deployed a renewed handwashing awareness campaign in all campus washrooms and hand sanitizers at elevators and entrances of campus buildings.

Some important reminders:

  • If you have symptoms of COVID-19, stay home and contact Info-Santé at 8-1-1. This is a free bilingual service, through the Ministère de la Santé du Québec. Do not go to a clinic — call 8-1-1 first if you have symptoms.
  • We encourage all members of the community to avoid non-essential travel. If you are considering travel or returning from travel, you should proceed with caution and check new travel and health advisories from the Public Health Agency of Canada.
  • Please get informed through the FAQs.

We continue to monitor and follow the recommendations of public health authorities at the federal, provincial and local levels as well as working with Universities Canada and the BCI (Bureau de cooperation interuniversitaire). In the interim, if you have any questions or concerns not answered through our FAQs, contact: covid19info@concordia.ca.

Thank you for your continued collaboration.
