The Concordia Shuffle needs your leadership

The Shuffle is an important Concordia tradition that raises funds towards student scholarships and bursaries.

Last year, the Shuffle brought in a record $114,000, bringing the 29-year total to more than $1.6 million to support 800 students. As someone in a leadership role, your participation and support is critical to the Shuffle’s success.

Here are three ways you can help Shuffle 30 be our best year ever:

  1. Set the example: As a leader, you have your team's attention. By registering for the Shuffle, you set the example for others to follow.
  2. Encourage your team to shuffle: Remind your team to register for the Shuffle, using the email template below or in a team meeting. Support their participation in the Shuffle during office hours if it doesn’t interfere with your operations.
  3. Make a challenge gift: Encourage your team to register by pledging a donation for every team member who takes part.

Below is an email template you can send to your team to encourage them to participate.


Dear team,

The Concordia Shuffle is an important annual tradition that raises funds for student scholarships and bursaries. I’m registered and I encourage all of you to sign up and fundraise for this great cause.

I support your participation in the Shuffle during office hours and I’m pledging [insert amount] to each team member who registers.

I hope to see you on September 27!
