Kathleen Lizé (GrDip 97) has contributed her experience and expertise to Concordia’s operations since 2014.

As director of internal audit, Lizé was in charge of financial, operational and IT audits. She helped Concordia run efficiently and responsibly, ensuring rigorous compliance with pertinent regulations and standards.

On June 19, Lizé is leaving Concordia to join Logistec, a leader in marine and environmental industry and services.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Kathleen,” says Concordia President Graham Carr. “Her leadership in Concordia’s internal audit department has been essential to us. We’re grateful for her service and wish her well in her future endeavours.”

Having served with other prominent firms and organizations, such as RCGT, Énergir and Cirque du Soleil, Lizé arrived at Concordia with nearly two decades of experience. She earned her graduate diploma in accountancy at the university in 1997.

Through her work at Concordia and other organizations, Lizé has become known for her ability to manage audits and various operations in large and complex organizations. She is especially recognized for her expertise in governance, risk and controls, as well as her capacity to implement ethics and anti-corruption programs.

At Concordia, Lizé was always ready with valuable recommendations based on her extensive experience. She helped guide Concordia’s internal audit unit through collaborative work with stakeholders, restructuring the function of her role.

She also oversaw the strategic consultation of outside expertise.

“Concordia is a great institution, and I’m proud to have been a part of its continual transformation,” says Lizé. “I have been privileged to work with an amazing and knowledgeable team. I had the support of great colleagues, senior executives and the Board of Governors.”
