1.  Step back in time

Architectural tour of Maison LeBer-LeMoyne | Lachine Museum | Every Saturday and Sunday throughout the month, starting at 2 p.m.

Journey back into Quebec’s past by visiting Maison LeBer-LeMoyne, once a focal point of the province’s bustling fur trade. A guide will bring you through the historic property, which was built between 1669 and 1671. It reflects the architecture of the era and is the pride and joy of the Lachine Museum.

2.  Watch dancers defy gravity

Rebo(u)nd: Van Grimde Corps Secrets + Davai video projection/dance performance | Agora de la danse | Place des Festivals | October 19 to 20 and October 24 to 27, starting at 7 p.m.

Five dancers will take to the stage in downtown Montreal for a performance that promises to defy the laws of physics. Working against gravity, and accompanied by video projections that emphasize moments of escape and suspension, this show aims to turn the traditional dance routine on its head.

A physiologist, medical journalist, Radio-Canada personality, pianist and author of Le Cerveau et la musique, Michel Rochon is a man of many talents. Join him for a one-of-a-kind conference only he could deliver. Enjoy live musical numbers and improvisations while uncovering the science behind the musical mind.

5.  Do the monster mash

A trio of nightmarish creatures will be putting on quite the show this Halloween, including a giant guitarist with a flaming fender. I just dare you to look him in his one eye!
