Concordia honours Joanna and Wolfgang Bottenberg

On May 19 and 20, Concordia flags will be lowered in honour of Joanna and Wolfgang Bottenberg.
Wolfgang Bottenberg was a celebrated composer and professor in Concordia’s Department of Music for 24 years. He also taught in Philosophy. He passed away on January 16, 2018.
His wife Joanna Bottenberg was also a professor at Concordia, both in Political Science and Modern Languages. She retired after 23 years at the university. She passed away on February 8 — three weeks after the loss of her husband.
The couple is being honoured by friends and colleagues during a memorial celebration on May 20, 2018.
