As part of its ongoing efforts to actively support the health of our students, Concordia has formed a committee to review how the university can further promote well-being as a prerequisite to academic success.

The mandate of the Student Health and Well-being Review Committee is to examine the following domains:

1)    Classroom environments where both well-being and intellectual rigour thrive
2)    Policies and procedures that support student well-being
3)    Services and supports for students related to health and well-being
4)    Opportunities for personal growth and development
5)    Physical spaces that promote well-being and accessibility
6)    Connections to campus

The committee will undertake in-depth consultations with subject matter experts, as well as broader conversations with students, faculty and staff through Idea Cafes.

“This means building on existing student services and identifying new areas in which the university can support student well-being,” says Lisa Ostiguy, deputy provost and committee co-chair.
