One of the most exciting partnerships we’ve forged in the past year is with The Conversation Canada, the latest edition of an innovative digital media outlet dedicated to bringing scholarly work to general readership.

As their tagline reads, they promise “Academic rigour, journalistic flair”.

You are invited to join Scott White, the editor of The Conversation Canada, for a two hour workshop on either Wednesday, November 22 or Thursday, November 23 (details below).

Please extend this invitation to your PhD candidates as well.

Alongside members of University Communications Services (UCS), you’ll run through the steps needed to use this exciting resource to highlight your research, and share your expertise beyond peer-reviewed publications.

*Our promise: You will leave the workshop with a plan for how to bring your expertise and your research findings to a global audience of more than 35 million, with minimal effort thanks to this unique collaboration.

Because of its open source design, The Conversation has launched researchers’ work onto the national stage and around the world through publications such as the Globe and Mail, the Financial Post and the Guardian who reprint the material.

You can read more about how The Conversation functions HERE

If you are able to attend one of the workshops below, please respond to Fiona.Downey@Concordia.ca, letting her know which session you are most interested in.
