Concordia is offering emergency accommodations to support its faculty, staff, students and graduates who have been adversely affected by recent flooding in several municipalities.

You can request temporary shelter if you’ve been asked to evacuate your home or you’re having difficulty getting to work or school because of road closures associated with the flooding.

Rooms at the Grey Nuns Residence (1190 Guy St.) will be available at no charge, on a first-come, first-served basis, for faculty, staff and students, including their immediate families, for a limited time.

This offer has also been extended to Concordia graduates and their immediate families. Please note that shelter cannot be provided for pets.

How to apply

Please contact Residence Life by calling (514) 848-2424, ext. 8000 or by email at: reservations@concordia.ca

Please provide the following information:

  • Your name and address
  • Whether you are a faculty, staff, student or graduate
  • Your Concordia I.D. number
  • Number of people requiring accommodation
  • Estimated number of nights you will require.

We understand this is a very difficult and trying time for those affected by the flood. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates, if required.

Kind regards,

Roger Côté
Vice-President, Services
