1. DIGITAL FEVER

March marks the start of spring … digital spring.

If you’re all about the digital sphere, prepare to take in more than 150 activities throughout the city. From exploring libraries at night, to learning about special effects and a virtual reality garden, there are plenty of free events to take in over the next three months.

2. CALLING ALL METAL HEADS

Iron Maiden After-Party Metal Night | Katacombes (1635 St-Laurent Blvd.) | April 1 at 11:30 p.m.

Any super fan knows that it’s all about the after-party. And what’s better than a free one? This ain’t no April Fools’ joke.

Celebrate the pioneers of British heavy metal as they come through town with their “Book of Souls.” Don’t be left out in “the Great Unknown” and shed “Tears of a Clown.”

5. IRISH FICTION WRITERS AT BLUE METROPOLIS

Concordia’s love affair with Irish fiction continues. This time, it is being celebrated through Montreal's major spring literary event, Blue Metropolis.

At 11 a.m., Dinosaurs and Love Affairs welcomes Danielle McLaughlin & Christine Dwyer Hickey to the stage. At 1 p.m., Withering Dogs & Red Skies sees Paul Lynch & Sarah Baume read from their works.
