Holiday schedule: December 23 to January 4

This year, Concordia is observing a holiday schedule from Wednesday, December 23, 2015, to Monday, January 4, 2016. The university will reopen on Tuesday, January 5.

No classes or other instructional activities will occur, though certain exceptions may apply, such as executive MBA and privatized courses.

Staff, faculty and graduate students with appropriate Concordia-issued identification will be able to access offices, studios and laboratories. Undergraduate students require a letter from their respective departments.

Security desks remain open 24/7 in the Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Integrated Complex (EV), Faubourg Building (FB), Grey Nuns Building (GN), Guy-De Maisonneuve Building (GM), Henry F. Hall Building (H), J.W. McConnell Building (LB), John Molson Building (MB), Richard J. Renaud Science Complex (SP) and Visual Arts Building (VA).

Shuttle bus service

Shuttle buses will not run from December 23 to January 4. The full shuttle schedule is available here. The regular schedule resumes January 5.

R. Howard Webster and Georges P. Vanier libraries

  • Both libraries are open 24 hours a day until 5 p.m. on December 22.
  • From December 27 to January 5, hours for library services vary widely. Check the Libraries web page for full details.
  • December 23 to December 26: closed.
  • December 30 to January 3: closed.
  • During this time, use the Mackay Street entrance to access the R. Howard Webster Library in the J.W. McConnell Building.

Campus Retail Stores

  • The Bookstores, Computer Stores and Digital Stores are closed from December 23 to January 4.
  • The Art Supply Store closes on December 23 at 5 p.m. and reopens on January 5 at 10 a.m.

Food services

Aramark food service units are closed from December 23 to January 4.

Parking

  • Parking in the J.W. McConnell Building is closed from December 23 to January 4, reopening January 5 at 6 a.m.
  • Loyola parking remains open.
  • Faubourg Building parking is closed on December 25 only.

Tunnel access

Tunnels on the Sir George Williams Campus are closed after 11 p.m. on December 22 until 7 a.m. on January 5.


Daycare

Workout facilities

  • Le Gym (Sir George Williams Campus) is closed from December 20 at 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. on January 5.
  • Le Centre (Loyola Campus) closes December 23 at 6 p.m. and reopens January 4 from noon to 6 p.m. Regular hours resume January 5 at 6:30 a.m.

Ed Meagher Arena

Stinger Dome

  • Closed from December 21 to January 2.
  • Open January 3 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Regular schedule resumes January 4 at 8 a.m.

Gymnasium (Loyola Campus)

  • Closed from December 21 to 26 and on December 31, January 1 and 3.
  • The regular schedule resumes January 4 at 7 a.m.

Employee Assistance Program

Multi-faith Chaplaincy

The chaplaincy continues to host some events and meetings. Visit its Facebook page for information.
