Construction continues apace at the Grey Nuns (GN) Mother House on Concordia’s Sir George Williams Campus.

The residence section is being expanded to accommodate 355 more students in April 2014. The GN chapel space is also being revamped to make way for 250 new study spaces, with a further 100 spaces directly adjacent — these will be “open for business” in September 2014. Up to 200 study spaces will be added specifically for students who live in the GN Residence.

Concordia is ensuring that all renovations to the chapel reflect current best practices in heritage preservation.

A cafeteria will also be provided on site to serve resident students, and the residence’s main entrance will be moved from its current location on St-Mathieu Street to the east side of the property on Guy Street.

Take a sneak peek at the new space: check out our Flickr photo tour!
