The Governance and Ethics Committee of Concordia’s Board of Governors is inviting nominations for representatives of the external community to serve as members of the Board of Governors as of July 1, 2013.

Board members do not receive an honorarium for service andappointments are for renewable three-year terms. Individuals must be committed to higher education and the well-being of students. Members are expected to serve on at least one of the standing committees of the board and may, from time to time, be involved in special projects.

Nomination process

Nominations should include a curriculum vitae or short biographical notes and a succinct statement explaining, from the perspective of the nominator, how the candidate could contribute to the board. The Governance and Ethics Committee uses the nominations to decide on a candidate to be recommended to the Board of Governors.

In evaluating nominations, the Governance and Ethics Committee will take into account the various segments of the community served by the university. A variety of experience and expertise profiles are being sought.

Please forward nominations, in confidence, to Danielle Tessier, director, Board and Senate Administration, via email by Tuesday, April 19, 2013. As there can be no assurance that a nominee will be offered a seat on the board, please be discreet.
