The Government of Quebec will hold a special Summit on Higher Education on February 25 and 26 in Montreal.

Taking part will be 350 individuals from across the province representing educational institutions, student associations, unions and members of civil society. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions with each other, alongside the premier, the minister of education and other members of the government delegation.

President Alan Shepard will participate, noting that he “looks forward to discussing the issues that currently surround higher education in Quebec.”

The first day of the summit will be dedicated to discussing the four themes that formed the subject matter of the previous “mini-summits” held in recent months. These discussions will then form the basis for Tuesday’s plenary session.

The activities of the Summit on Higher Education will be webcast live. To see the webcast and for more information, please consult the website of the Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche, de la Science et de la Technologie.
