Barbecue in the grove raises $1,114

More raised for the Kidney Foundation of Canada than last year

Members of Concordia's Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry held a barbecue in the grove on Loyola Campus to benefit the Kidney Foundation of Canada. At the August 2 event, $1,114.75 was raised by selling tickets for summery barbecue fare.

Fisher Scientific and Old Dutch Foods kindly sponsored the event that saw $110 more raised than last year.

The grove is the part of campus between the Richard J. Renaud Science Complex and the Communication Journalism Building.

Organizer Miriam Posner, Technical Supervisor in the department, thanks all those who came out to support the Kidney Foundation of Canada and offers special thanks to the sponsors.
