New director of financial aid and awards appointed

Stephanie Sarik to lead office that oversees scholarships, bursaries and loans

Managing Director of Student Services Melanie Drew is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephanie Sarik as director, financial aid and awards, within Student Services. Sarik joined Concordia on November 1, 2011.

“We are very fortunate to have Stephanie join the student services team,” says Drew. “Her financial acumen will be a great asset to an office that processes almost $60 million in scholarships, bursaries and loans on an annual basis.”

Sarik is responsible for planning, directing and managing the operations of the Financial Aid and Awards Office, assisting students in finding and securing public and private forms of financial assistance in order to help them pursue their studies at Concordia.

As a member of the Enrolment and Student Services directorate, she will work in a multidisciplinary team in order to enhance student success and help the university achieve its enrolment goals.

Sarik holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia. Most recently, she worked as the director of finance and administration in the Vice-Principal Research and International Relations Office at McGill University. Prior to that, she led financial and strategic planning at the Schulich Executive Education Centre at York University.
