Got questions about God’s role in the creation of our galaxy?

Loyola International College, an interdisciplinary school based at Concordia University, will launch a new book that may provide some answers. Calvin S. Kalman, who is Principal of Concordia's Science College, has authored a book entitled, How Did We All Begin: Where is God in All That?

Available via amazon.ca, the work promotes a better understanding of how every person fits into our vast universe that is composed of billions of galaxies. How Did We All Begin relates how the universe follows very clearly defined laws.

Kalman argues science cannot provide absolute certainty and scientists must be willing to accept many hypotheses such as the belief in God.

The book launch will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, at the Loyola Chapel (7141 Sherbrooke St. W.).

Since seating is limited, please RSVP at loyolaic@alcor.concordia.ca. For more information, contact Cristina Barbu, Executive Assistant to the Principal, Loyola International College, at 514-848-2424, ext. 2125.

Launch sponsors include the Concordia Dean of Students, Department of Physics, Department of Theological Studies, Concordia Institute for Canadian Jewish Studies, Multi-faith Chaplaincy and Science College.

A second launch for How Did We All Begin will unfold at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20 at the Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue (450 Kensington Ave., Westmount).
