André Gagné, associate professor in the Department of Theological Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Science, can speak on the terror attack which happened on Saturday, June 3rd in London. This event is in some ways similar to the Westminster attack in London on March 22 of this year. Dr. Gagné can explain why jihadist groups and their sympathizers justify and interpret their actions through the doctrine of equal retaliation, as a response to the conflict sustained by coalition forces in the Middle East.
