  • Nadia Naffi, Concordia University Public Scholar, full-time faculty in the Department of Education in the Faculty of Arts and Science and PhD Candidate in educational technology writes in The Conversation Canada about a surge in online hate speech in Canada. She notes that some observers have blamed the phenomenon on the "Trump effect". Naffi references her own study, co-authored with Ann-Louise Davidson, associate professor of education, into young people's perception of the Syrian refugee crisis and how it is influenced by social media.
