  • Damon Matthews co-authors a study that proposes a real-time global warming index according to which the rate of global warming is accelerating. The index will be updated continuously on the website, www.globalwarmingindex.org. News of the study is found on Voxy New ZealandStuffVictoria University of WellingtonNews HubMSC Newswire.
  • History professor in the Faculty of Arts and Science, Ronald Rudin is quoted, and his book, Kouchibouguac: Removal, Resistance and Remembrance at a Canadian National Park, is referenced in a Globe and Mail story about a man in New Brunswick who continues to protest his expropriation from Kouchibouguac park land more than 40 years ago.
  • Lien Multimédia (behind a paywall) picks up a release announcing the premiere of The Shoreline Project — a series of web documentaries produced by Elizabeth Miller, assistant professor of communication Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Science, about rising sea levels and their impact on coastal regions.
