  • Energías Renovables joins coverage of the unveiling of the PAGES2k Global 2,000 Year Multiproxy Database — a comprehensive database of past global temperature records. Concordia research contributor Jeannine-Marie St-Jacques, assistant professor in the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment in the Faculty of Arts and Science, is quoted. Please note: St-Jacques will be interviewed on CBC's Radio's 'Daybreak', Monday morning.
  • 4-Traders release describes research into machine learning and intelligent systems, led by Yong Zeng, professor in the Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering (CIISE) and Concordia researcher Thanh An Nguyen. The study was published in the Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing.
  • Advisor News writes about a new study from Concordia of the effects of political systems on the soundness of Islamic banks. The study, published in the Journal of Financial Stability, was led by Thomas Walker, finance professor in the John Molson School of Business, and JMSB Scholar in Residence (finance), Mohammad Bitar.
  • CNW news release reports on the participation of Angela Alberga, assistant professor of exercise science in the Faculty of Arts and Science, in a conference, yesterday at Montreal's Centre Mont-Royal. Alberga discussed her research into women's health and the media's weight bias toward women. The release is picked up by Dairy Farmers of Canada.
