Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:

  • Guy Lachapelle, professor of political science in the Faculty of Arts and Science and secretary general of the Concordia-based International Political Science Association (IPSA), talks to Radio-Canada's 'Le téléjournal' (video, starting at the 2:13 mark, reprised with accompanying text by Sympatico and linked by enManchette) about NAFTA's impact on the production of complex goods, such as Bombardier aircraft.   • Slator release announces that Saul Carliner, professor in and interim chair of the Department of Education in the Faculty of Arts and Science, will be keynote speaker at this week's Tekom 2017 technical communication conference in Stuttgart, Germany.
  • La Tribune features Concordia cinema instructor and actor Micheline Lanctôt.
  • The Intercept features rapper Yassin "Narcy" Alsalman, who teaches the Concordia Faculty of Fine Arts course, "Hip Hop: Beats, Rhymes and Life". The publication says Alsalman was in Toronto last week for a live taping of his new spoken word poem, “We Are on the Verge.”
