Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:

  • André Gagné, associate professor in the Department of Theological Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Science, writes an op-ed published in La Presse+ about Jagmeet Singh, the new leader of the NDP, and how he may have difficulty breaking into Quebec.
  • Pascale Biron, chair of and professor in the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment in the Faculty of Arts and Science, was interviewed by radio host Michel Lacombe on the Radio Canada Première Chaîne program, 'Les grands entretiens'. She warned of the urgent need for authorities in Québec to update their flood management methods and programs.
  • Chedly Belkhodja, principal of and professor in the School of Community and Public Affairs in the Faculty of Arts and Science, talks to CBC Radio's 'Out in the Open' about the difficulty Muslims in Canada encounter when trying to bury their dead in Canada. He relates his own experiences in that regard when his father died in Moncton, New Brunswick, three years ago.
