Victory for Standing Rock
The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe won a seeming major victory in its battle to block the Dakota Access pipeline that was being built near its reservation. The Army Corps of Engineers said it would not grant a permit for the Dakota Access pipeline to drill under the Missouri river. Two Concordia professors can weigh in on why this victory is not the end for the protests in Standing Rock.
