May 30, 2018
|

Concordia University and the Faculty of Fine Arts are hosting the 2018 Society for Animation Studies Conference, which is also the 30th anniversary of the organization, dedicated to the study of animation.

The Society for Animation Studies Annual Conference is the largest annual gathering of animation scholars and makers, and includes a number of fantastic screenings from Montreal-based and international animators. All are welcome to attend!

There will be some wonderful animation filmmakers and scholars in attendance, including a number who work at the intersection of experimental animation, animation and disability studies, histories of film and animation, anime, digital culture, animation and labour, and gaming. We will also have special screenings and panel sessions dedicated to Indigenous animation.

We’ve asked attendees to register, but all events are open to the community (except for catering). Program coming to our website shortly.

Come, attend, and participate! and check us out on Facebook
