PhD students from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema travelled to Philadelphia September 15, 2017 to present their ongoing research to a rapt audience at the University of Pennsylvania, a storied Ivey League University. This is the second such event, supported by Concordia International and the University of Pennsylvania, to facilitate the exchange of ideas and support networking across our two internationally renowned and leading programs in Cinema Studies.

Presenters representing the Film and Moving Image Studies doctoral program were Patrick Brodie, Patrick Smith, Phillipp Keidl, Lola Rémy, and Joaquin Serpe. A keynote for the day-long event was delivered by Concordia Professor Haidee Wasson. For details on the symposium, visit the Upenn Cinema Studies website.
