Anna Waclawek On Street Art

Art History Affiliate Professor and Department Coordinator, Anna Waclawek, was interviewed by local news outlet LE DEVOIR last week. As a foremost expert on Street Art, Dr. Waclawek spoke on its past, present and future significance to both subversive and mainstream realms of making, and its links to -and breaks with- contemporary festivals such as Montreal's MURAL.

Following her 2011 Thames & Hudson publication Graffiti and Street Art, Dr. Waclawek developed a unique course with the same title. Scheduled in the 2017 Winter term and again this summer, the course continues to be one of the Department of Art History's most sought-after special topics offerings.
