Abstract

We all take instant positioning in the palm of our hands for granted. But ubiquitous, seamless outdoor and indoor positioning still remains a challenge for the industry, a challenge that will only grow as more IoT devices come online. This session will cover the evolution of location technologies and the transition of consumer devices positioning techniques into the broader IoT realm. We’ll also explore how Fathom approaches this problem and the opportunities presented by using consumer technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy in IoT location applications such as asset tracking, healthcare or location-based marketing.
