Colloquium: Religion, Violence and the Ethics of Biblical and Religious Studies
The Departments of Religion and Theological Studies are co-sponsoring a colloquium by Dr. Hector Avalos, Professor of Religious Studies at Iowa State University. Dr. Avalos is the author of several books such as, Fighting Words: The Origins of Religious Violence; The End of Biblical Studies; Slavery, Abolitionism, and the Ethics of Biblical Scholarship; and The Bad Jesus. The Ethics of New Testament Ethics.
The colloquium will take place on Tuesday, June 16th, 2015 from 10:00am-5:30pm at Concordia University, 1455 de Maisonneuve Blvd West, room H-767.
