The Department of Philosophy congratulates Raymond Cacciatore, MA student in Philosophy, on his refereed article appearing online in the journal Eidos: A Journal for Philosophy of Culture, in a special issue on “Philosophy and Psychiatry: Values, Subjectivity, and Expertise,” guest edited by Louis Sass, a highly recognized figure in this area. Raymond’s article appears alongside articles by established scholars such as Bill Fulford at Oxford, in analytic philosophy of mental health, and Dorothée Legrand, at the École Normale Supérieure, in phenomenology of mental health.

His article is entitled Understanding Obstacles in Psychiatric Research: An Analysis of the Structure of Mood via Merleau-Ponty.
