Upcoming Initiatives

MIGS is partnering with Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA) and the Stanley Foundation to launch the Milan Forum for Parliamentary Action in Preventing Violent Extremism and Mass Atrocities, set to take place November 27th – 28th, 2017 in Milan, Italy. With the support of the Mayor of Milan and under the patronage of the European Parliament and the Parliament of Italy, this international initiative will seek to counter violent extremism by working with parliamentarians from all regions of the world to adopt effective policies to marginalize and defeat the ideology of violent extremists. For those interested in helping support this initiative, please contact Kyle Matthews at kyle.matthews@concordia.ca .

For the second year in a row, MIGS will participate in the Peer to Peer: Facebook Global Digital Challenge (P2P). P2P is a global university initiative create by EdVenture Partners and sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and Facebook to push back on hate speech and extremism around the world.
