•    Libya’s internationally recognised administration based in the Tobruk has banned Yemenis, Iranians and Pakistanis from entering the divided country, by issuing a visa ban, a military statement said on Tuesday.

  • Four Libyan soldiers were killed and six wounded in fresh fighting with Islamist groups in the eastern city of Benghazi on Sunday, medics and military officials said
  • Forces loyal to Libya’s internationally recognized government (the Council of Deputies) have been fighting Islamist groups in Benghazi since last year, as part of a wider power struggle.
3. Haftar’s forces fail to control Derna, a city under the control of fighters associated with the Shura Council of Mujahideen

  • Libyan fighters affiliated to the Shura Council of Mujahideen in Derma (refered to as the ‘Derna fighters’ faced an attack on Sunday (August 30th) carried out by fighters affiliated to General Khalifa Hafter aiming to control the city, Almesryoon.com has reported.
  • The Derna fighters were defending the city from the side of Wadi Abu-Dahak
  • Meanwhile the Derna fighters have been fighting off a number of ISIS fighters in the east of the city
