Undergraduate students Teejay Bhalla and Summit Ollivierre were interviewed this weekend on Global TV's Focus Montreal program about their research on Montreal's Black history; see their 6-minute interview here:

There was also a front-page article in last week's Concordian based on interviews with Teejay, Summit, Audrey Medaino-Tardif, and Lauren Engel. For more:

Finally, there will be an article in tomorrow's Gazette, by Bill Brownstein.

All of these stories relate to the archival research that History undergraduate students have undertaken on the Negro Community Centre (NCC) in Little Burgundy as part of course work under the direction of Dr. Steven High, in partnership with the Concordia Library, Special Collections. There will be a public showcase of their work - and the public launch of the Archives itself -- tomorrow night from 7-9 pm at the Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA)'s Liberty Hall - everyone welcome.
