Message from the Director of Creative Writing

January 22, 2018
|

The current Creative Writing program welcomes the investigation by both the university, and an independent investigator, into allegations of sexual misconduct. Such behaviour is unacceptable, in direct violation of our values and policies, and may result in disciplinary measures up to and including possible dismissal.

However, many of us are not on social media and we are anxious to avoid the risk of overlooking critical information shared on that forum.

To that end, we welcome any student, past or present, who wishes to share any instances of misconduct, to contact the university’s Office of Rights and Responsibilities at 514-848-2424, ext. 8659 or at rights@concordia.ca.

They may also contact the Sexual Assault Resource Centre at 514-848-2424, ext. 3353 or sarc@concordia.ca.

I also invite any student from the creative writing program to please email me directly: Kate Sterns (Director of Creative Writing) at kate.sterns@concordia.ca.

We are committed to handling all such communication with the utmost respect and integrity.

- Kate Sterns, Director of the Creative Writing program
