New publications in language and pedagogy

Students and faculty from the Applied Linguistics unit have had three new publications come out this fall.

PhD students Michael Barcomb and Jennica Grimshaw and faculty member Walcir Cardoso published “Foreign language teachers as instructional designers: Customizing mobile-assisted language learning technology” in the Handbook of Mobile Teaching and Learning.

Faculty member Angelica Galante published “Plurilingualism in linguistically diverse language classrooms” in the edited volume Interdisciplinary Research Approaches to Multilingual Education.

PhD student Kym Taylor Reid, faculty member Pavel Trofimovich, and Mary Grantham O’Brien published “Social attitudes and speech ratings: Effects of positive and negative bias on multiage listeners’ judgments of second language speech” in Studies in Second Language Acquisition.
