Congratulations to our former visitor!


Congratulations to Benjamin Balint! His book, "Kafka's Last Trial" won the prestigious Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature which recognizes the unique role of contemporary writers in the examination and transmission of the Jewish experience. It was also named a Book of the Year by The Economist. Kol HaKavod!

In May 2019, Benjamin Balint, author and library fellow at Van Leer Institute in Jerusalem, gave a talk at the Azrieli Institute of Israel Studies about his book "Kafka's Last Trial", his research, and about Kafka's legacy. The event was organized in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut Montreal and the Montreal Jewish Public Library.
