A variety of internal influences on Israeli government practices relating to Israeli-Palestinian peacemaking have frequently gone ignored in scholarly analyses. Yet, it is possible that features of democracy in particular, including electoral rules, social movements, and party systems inhibit conflict resolution, a possibility that resonates far outside this contested region.
