Celluloid is a multi user video annotation tool available on the Living Archives platform that will be presented by Michael Bourgatte, lead researcher for the Celluloid tool in France, and director of the Département Humanités Numériques, Faculté d’Éducation, Institut Catholique in Paris.

A team led by Michael Bourgatte, within the Digital Humanities Department of the Institut Catholique de Paris, have been considering the deployment of an open source annotation service that can be used both by teachers and researchers who wish to work on video corpuses with their students and analyze content for research purposes. The result is the Celluloid technology tool, a collaborative video annotation platform. Michael Bourgatte will present the context of creation of this tool, its specificity and the uses that can be made of it within the Living Archives digital platform that has integrated its own celluloid.

This event is part of the “Listen, Explore and Learn” series, taking place at 4TH SPACE from December 2-10. See the full program here.
