Play therapy day at 4TH SPACE
Play therapy is a therapeutic approach beneficial to a child who is experiencing difficulties at home, school or in his or her community. As stated by Virginia Axline, a psychologist and one of the pioneers in the use of play therapy, the approach “provides an opportunity for the child to ‘play out’ his or her feelings and problems just as, in certain adult therapy, an individual ‘talks out’ his or her difficulties.”
From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., attend an information session led by Bonnie Harnden and learn more about play therapy and the new summer graduate certificate to be launched in summer 2020 at Concordia.
