Concordia journalism students, in partnership with reporters and editors at Le Devoir and Global News, published a series of articles and broadcasts over the past month revealing major gaps in how Quebec cities and the provincial government regulate and test for lead in drinking water.

Their reporting elicited an immediate response from policy makers. On October 22, Montreal mayor Valerie Laplante announced plans to aggressively tackle lead pipe replacement in the city.

These stories are just a few among dozens published across the country as part of a wider national investigation facilitated by Concordia's Institute for Investigative Journalism in partnership with journalism schools and media partners across the country.

Hear the story behind the story, and learn more about this unique national collaborative. investigative, and to meet our talented student and professional journalists.
