Meeting: CSU Campaign Against Sexual Violence
The holidays may be over, but rape culture is not. It’s a new semester — we're rested and ready to #EndRapeCulture and say #EnoughIsEnough!
Want updates on the issues our Campaign Against Sexual Violence team has been tackling? Interested in hearing the outcomes from the university's Community Conversations, or what's happening with the #TakingBackOurVoices blog? Excited to start the new year by jumping into important activism? This meeting is the place to start!
Don't worry if you're new to our campaign — everyone is welcome to come pitch their ideas and help plan events and projects for the winter semester. If fighting rape culture and sexual violence is important to you, we want you on the team!
All you need to bring is your passion and ideas. We'll take care of the snacks!
This event takes place on Kanien'kehá:ka traditional territory. It is necessary to think about the role of sexual violence as a tool of colonialism since the beginning of European settlement on these lands. Our conversations must acknowledge that sexual violence disproportionately impacts Indigenous girls and women, and honour the lives of thousands of missing and murdered indigenous women.
The location is accessible to people using wheelchairs and mobility aids via elevators — please use the De Maisonneuve Blvd. entrance. The closest gender-neutral washroom is in the Hive Café at H-239, which is also wheelchair accessible.
Please email or call us at 514-848-7474 ext. 8904 with any accessibility needs and we will do our best to meet them.
