Recently, we have heard a lot about using scenario analysis in investment decision making, particularly in light of the climate risk that many investors face. Additionally, we are hearing a lot these days about company net-zero strategies. To address these gaps, the Sustainability Ecosystem at Concordia University, in collaboration with Ceres and Manulife Investment Management, are hosting a series of webinars on using scenario planning as a tool in the sustainable finance investment toolkit.
This learning lab series will take you on a journey to understanding the creation and application of Climate Scenario Analysis.
Climate Risk Analytics
The first part of the workshop will start with a discussion on climate risk analytics for core decision-making, presented by Maryam Golnaraghi. You will also learn the latest on scenarios and stress testing approaches, and building institutional capacities.
In the second part, moderated by Margaret Childe, representatives of a large Canadian oil and gas company, will dive deeper into climate scenario analysis in the sector.
