Choeur des enfants de Montréal is an extraordinary children's choir where young people learn to sing and perform at a professional level. Iwan Edwards founded the choir in 2001 and directed it until his retirement in June 2009. The current Artistic Director is Andrew Gray; the Assistant Conductor is Léa Moisan-Perrier. CEM is a treble choir, independent of any religious group, school or organization. The children perform in major music venues with world-class musicians, including performances with the Montréal Symphony Orchestra. Other concerts, staged to benefit a variety of charities, educate the children to serve the community through their music.
